Car and Driver called the new 2025 Ford Edge “The best five-seat offering in Ford’s SUV lineup. In the burgeoning mid-size, two-row crossover segment, the Ford Edge remains a sharp contender, with a quiet cabin and lots of standard features.”

A midsize SUV that can seat five, the Ford Edge It comes in four trims: SE, SEL, Titanium, and ST. The base model SE has a good array of amenities. The SEL offers more goodies and access to options packages, the Titanium is all about luxury, and the ST is the performance model that covers everything!
Lithia Ford has the largest selection in Southern Oregon, and a great lineup of both used and new models in inventory for test driving. Inside, the seats are cushy and the cabin is quiet, with enough space to comfortably contain four adults. Two powertrains appeal to two different tastes, with a fuel-efficient 250 horsepower turbocharged four-cylinder or the ST’s peppy twin-turbo V-6 and its class-leading 335 horsepower.
Overall, says Car and Driver, “Edge is enjoyable to drive and provides reassuring stability in corners; its steering is nicely weighted, and its ride is comfortable over imperfect road surfaces.”
All the models offer a good lineup of driver safety and assist features. Blind-spot monitoring, lane-keeping assist, and the automated emergency braking are standard on all trim levels. Safety options include adaptive cruise control, inflatable rear seat belts, and a wide-angle front camera that helps with parking in tight spots.
And, all models have dual-zone climate control, a 10-way power-adjustable driver seat, and a reverse sensing system. Also standard is the Sync 3 infotainment system, one of the better tech interfaces on the market, with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The Titanium model, just a step below the ST, has a new Elite package to dress up the interior with Brunello door inserts and brick-red stitching.
An enhanced Titanium Elite package includes 20-inch polished wheels and special interior and exterior leather and chrome accents.
According to the CarConnection, “In ST trim, with big black wheels and little red badges, the Edge looks downright mean, as a 335-hp crossover should. Titanium models dial up the chrome for a premium look, one that wouldn’t seem out of place at even the fanciest valets.”
Edmunds also has a lot of praise for the Ford Edge, saying, “Buyers looking for a midsize SUV that’s nicer than the mainstream choices without a budget-busting price will find plenty to like in the new Ford Edge. It’s tight and controlled on the road and drives much like a sedan. The quietness of its cabin and the expansive passenger and cargo space are impressive, and it has one of the roomiest interiors in its class.”
