LATE-NIGHT HOSTS WILL HELP STREAM A COVID-19 BENEFIT CONCERT ON APRIL 18 
On April 18, late night hosts and celebrities will participate in One World: Together At Home, a virtual benefit concert to raise money for the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund. The multi-hour digital broadcast will stream on several platforms, including Apple, Facebook, Instagram, Twitch, Twitter and YouTube, as well as traditional TV networks like ABC, NBC and CBS.

… Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel and Stephen Colbert will host the fundraiser, and musicians from Billie Eilish to Alanis Morissette, Paul McCartney, Lady Gaga, Keith Urban, Chris Martin, Stevie Wonder, Elton John, John Legend and Kacey Musgraves are scheduled to perform. Proceeds from the event will help get protective equipment to healthcare workers and support charities providing food and shelter to those in need.

PAUL MCCARTNEY’S HANDWRITTEN LYRICS TO HEY JUDE SELL FOR $910,000 
Paul McCartney wrote Hey Jude for five-year-old Julian Lennon after visiting him and his mom, Cynthia Lennon, after John left them for Yoko. Released independent of an album, and never included on one, Hey Jude spent 7 weeks at number 1 in the fall of 1968. Fifty two years later, McCartney’s handwritten lyrics have sold for $910,000.

CAROLE BASKIN FEELS BETRAYED BY TIGER KING PRODUCERS 
In an interview with the Tampa Bay Times, Tiger King star Carole Baskin reiterated her disappointment with the Netflix docuseries. But she also said she’s received death threats since Tiger King premiered on March 20. Four days earlier, on March 16, Baskin closed her Bit Cat Rescue sanctuary due to coronavirus.

Baskin said she’s seen drones flying over her home and that her doorbell camera has captured 30 people a day lingering in front of her house. But what troubles Baskin and her husband Howard the most is how Tiger King breezed over the suffering of the captive tiger trade. Baskin also doesn’t like the insinuation that she killed her ex-husband.

THOR: LOVE AND THUNDER WILL HAVE A TEAM-UP THAT FANS WILL LOVE 
A source says Doctor Strange will make an appearance in the next Thor movie, titled Love and Thunder. As with the Guardians of the Galaxy and Hulk, the appearance will be a small one.

GEORGE AND AMAL BUY PLAYHOUSE FOR KIDS 
A gossip column claims George and Amal Clooney purchased a $110,000 two-story playhouse for their twins — complete with kitchen and running water. Built to emulate the family’s main home, the swanky playhouse has two floors and includes a bathroom. The playhouse comes with a life-sized toy giraffe for the kids to ride on.

… The playhouse was designed in part by Michael S Smith, who redesigned the Oval Office during Barack Obama’s presidency.

RYAN REYNOLDS TROLLS HUGH JACKMAN ON HIS WEDDING ANNIVERSARY
Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman have been jokingly fighting for years. On Friday, Jackman posted a heartfelt message on Instagram to celebrate his 24th wedding anniversary to wife Deborra-Lee Furness. He wrote: “These 24 years have been the best of my life! And, as far as I can see, we keep getting better. I love you Debs with every fiber of my soul. Happy anniversary. #24” • LINK

… Reynolds used the anniversary post as an opportunity to continue his hilarious feud with Jackson. He wrote in the comments: “Hang in there, Deb.”

ROBERT PATTINSON’S BATMAN WILL REPORTEDLY MARRY AND HAVE A KID WITH (SPOILER, SPOILER ALERT!) 
According to sources, Robert Pattinson’s The Batman trilogy will include a romance with Catwoman that evolves into marriage and even a child.

… The Batman began filming in London in January, although production has been indefinitely suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic.

SNL AT HOME SCORES SEASON’S SECOND-BEST RATINGS 
NBC’s Saturday Night Live returned over the weekend from a pandemic-related five-week break to deliver its second-best numbers of the season, trailing only Eddie Murphy’s December visit. Featuring material produced remotely by the cast and crew and with recovering COVID-19 patient Tom Hanks serving as the surprise host, SNL at Home averaged 6.7 million total viewers.

KEVIN HART IS FEEDING THE ELDERLY IN PHILADELPHIA 
The COVID-19 quarantine has significantly affected how the world gets by. For example, most of the elderly have a compromised immune system so it’s been recommended that they don’t leave their homes at all. Many celebs have come to their aid and the latest one to lend a helping hand is funny man Kevin Hart. The Jumanji star has teamed up with TryHungry and their Hungry@Home initiative to bring meals to those in need. Hart shared on Instagram: Hungry@Home and I are feeding the elderly and those in need in my hometown of Philly.

BRAD PITT REPORTEDLY EYED TO PLAY THE BOOGEYMAN 
Sources say Brad Pitt is being eyed for the role of the Boogeyman in a monster movie of the same name. There’s not much known about the project yet, except that the concept will be of a monster that haunts his victims in their dreams.

BURNING MAN GOING VIRTUAL 
Burning Man as you know it won’t happen this year, due to the pandemic, but there will still be a festival. Organizers of the annual art phenomenon held in the Nevada desert announced Friday they were pulling the plug to avoid a possible COVID-19 outbreak. The event, scheduled for August 30 to September 7, isn’t being postponed but instead will move online. The Burning Man camp — built and torn down each year in the middle of nowhere — is known as Black Rock City, and the organizers say they’re gonna try to create a Virtual BRC. Last year they had 70,000 attendees.

ALEC BALDWIN AND HIS WIFE ARE EXPECTING THEIR FIFTH CHILD 
Alec Baldwin and his wife Hilaria are expecting baby number five. Hilaria shared a video on Instagram Monday revealing her pregnancy bump with the baby’s heartbeat audible in the background.

… Hilaria’s pregnancy announcement comes about four months since she revealed her second miscarriage of 2019.

MASTERS GOLF TOURNAMENT RESCHEDULED FOR NOVEMBER 
The coronavirus pandemic has gutted the sports calendar, but fans celebrated on Monday when the Masters golf tournament announced its intention to reschedule for November 9-15.

J.K. ROWLING REVEALS THAT SHE’S FULLY RECOVERED FROM CORONAVIRUS SYMPTOMS 
J.K. Rowling shared in a Twitter post that she has fully recovered from COVID-19 symptoms that she’s been combating for about 2 weeks. Rowling openly admits that she was never tested for the coronavirus, but she does say that she suffered from essentially every symptom of the disease in the past couple of weeks. She cites that her husband, Dr. Neil Murray, advised her to follow the advice given in a video from another doctor at Queens Hospital in the United Kingdom.

THERE’S GOING TO BE A BATMAN VS. DRACULA LIMITED SERIES FOR HBO MAX 
While details are thin, Warner Bros. is working on a limited series called Batman vs. Dracula for the upcoming HBO Max streaming service.

KATY PERRY AND ORLANDO BLOOM ARE HAVING A BABY GIRL 
Katy Perry announced last month, in a new music video for her single Never Worn White, that she is pregnant with her and Orlando Bloom’s first child together. Late on Friday, Perry shared a photo of her fiancé , Bloom, with pink frosting all over his face and the following caption: “💕 it’s a girl 💕.”

RITA WILSON PERFORMS FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE DIAGNOSIS 
Rita Wilson is back. The actress and singer performed her heart out on Sunday afternoon, after singing the National Anthem during NASCAR’s iRacing Pro Invitational Series Race.

… The special performance appeared to take place inside her Los Angeles home. It marked her first performance since she and her husband, Tom Hanks, were diagnosed with COVID-19.

DISNEY+ IS REBOOTING DOOGIE HOWSER WITH A FEMALE LEAD 
…Okay.  Disney+ is bringing Doogie Howser, M.D. to a new generation with a reboot of the comedy, set to focus on a half-Asian, half-white 16-year-old girl who works as a doctor in Hawaii. The new show currently has a working title of Doogie Kealoha, M.D. The original starred Neil Patrick Harris.

TYLER PERRY PAYS FOR ALL GROCERIES FOR THE ELDERLY AT 73 STORES Tyler Perry surprised elderly shoppers across two states Wednesday morning by covering the cost of their groceries. The TV and movie mogul paid for the groceries of all elderly shoppers at 44 Kroger stores in Atlanta, Georgia, his hometown state, as well as 29 Winn Dixie stores in his native New Orleans during the hour reserved for older customers amid the coronavirus pandemic.

NETFLIX’S SPACE FORCE SPOOF STARRING STEVE CARELL ARRIVES ON MAY 29 
Despite the global coronavirus pandemic, the newly formed US Space Force is pushing ahead — it launched its first satellite last month. Fortunately, Netflix’s spoof, called Space Force, isn’t far behind. Netflix just announced that the series, co-created by and starring Steve Carell, will premiere on May 29.

… The show will follow Carell as the fictional four-star general Mark Naird, who dreams of running the Air Force but is assigned to lead the newly formed Space Force. Celebrities including Lisa Kudrow, John Malkovich, Ben Schwartz and Tawny Newsome will join Carell as the cast attempts to get Space Force off the ground and land Americans on the Moon.

ORIGINAL CAST OF ‘FULL HOUSE’ FILMED A QUARANTINE EDITION OF THE OPENING CREDITS

JULIA LOUIS-DREYFUS SHOWS OFF MAKEUP SKILLS IN CORONAVIRUS PSA 
Julia Louis-Dreyfus is taking beauty matters into her own hands. On Wednesday, the Office of the Governor of California shared a video of the Veep and Seinfeld actress sitting at her makeup vanity wearing some exaggerated eyeshadow, bold blush and extremely over-lined red lipstick to address the state of California. As she looks into the camera she says, “You know, normally, when I do a PSA like this, I have a hair and makeup team — a glam team, a professional glam team — who come and help me with my look. But today, they’re staying home. They’re staying safe.” And it shows as Julia looks more like a circus clown than a sitcom legend. • VIDEO

TIGER KING HAD OVER 34 MILLION U.S. VIEWERS IN FIRST 10 DAYS 
Tiger King has clawed its way into the national psyche to become one of Netflix’s biggest-ever original shows. The docuseries reached a U.S. TV audience of 34.3 unique viewers within the first 10 days of its release (March 20-29, according to Nielsen estimates). That topped season 2 of Netflix hit Stranger Things, which had 31.2 million unique viewers in its first 10 days, and was within shouting distance of Stranger Things 3, which drew 36.3 million over a 10-day span.

DAVID BLAINE BRINGS MAGIC TO CORONAVIRUS PATIENTS, MEDICAL WORKERS 
With the coronavirus infecting friends, neighbors and coworkers, David Blaine is on call. Not as a doctor, of course, but as a magician. He’s been making himself available to entertain patients, first-responders and medical workers who are fighting the pandemic.

Though he’s been performing in hospitals since age 18, Blaine, now 47, has had to figure out how to do his mind-blowing tricks remotely, via FaceTime on iPad. And when he says “I tell [hospital personnel] to call me whenever it works for them and I’ll make the time,” he isn’t kidding. Blaine says, “I was driving once, got a call and pulled over immediately.” Blaine, who lives in Manhattan but is in Los Angeles, “took out a deck of cards and did FaceTime magic as best I could.  I jump to it because you don’t know what will be going on, and who will be where if you call back 10 minutes later. But what I do is easy. The real challenge is what nurses and doctors and patients are going through on the front lines.”

CBS TO SHOW ICONIC MOVIES ON SUNDAY NIGHTS TO FILL THE CORONAVIRUS SHUTDOWN VOID 
For five straight Sundays starting May 3, CBS will show iconic movies from its corporate sibling Paramount Pictures’ library, starting with Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark. The network is filling the void left by shows that aren’t able to film due to COVID-19.

… On May 10 CBS will show Forrest Gump, followed by Mission: Impossible on May 17, Titanic on May 24 and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade on May 31.

ROB LOWE DEVELOPING TIGER KING ADAPTATION 
Netflix’s hit documentary series Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness has been the perfect distraction from everything else happening in the news. Almost immediately after the doc was released people began fan-casting a movie adaptation of the story, with a general consensus building that the only person who could play Joe Exotic is Danny McBride.

But now we have a new contender. Rob Lowe posted an image of himself in costume as Joe Exotic on Instagram, revealing that he’s developing “a version of this insane story” with American Horror Story creator Ryan Murphy. • IMAGE

… Their take won’t be the only Tiger King adaptation. Ghostbusters’ Kate McKinnon has confirmed that she’s producing and starring in a limited series centering on Big Cat Rescue’s Carole Baskin. Dwayne Johnson has also expressed interested in getting into the world of the Tiger King.

… Meanwhile, Joe Maldonado-Passage — aka Joe Exotic — is still serving his lengthy sentence, though is apparently in an isolation ward as his asthma makes him susceptible to COVID-19.

JOHN TRAVOLTA IN TALKS TO PLAY LEAD VILLAIN IN MACGRUBER TV SHOW 
John Travolta may be returning to television, as the actor is reportedly in negotiations to play the lead villain in the upcoming series, MacGruber. The show, which is a continuation of the SNL sketch and then movie, is set to air on NBC’s new streaming service, Peacock. Will Forte is returning in the title role.

… The new series follows MacGruber after he serves ten years in prison. Upon his release, his mission is to save the world.
