Medford Fire Department  —  𝗦𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗲

Monday morning crews responded to a working structure fire on the 700 Block of Broad Street. The fire originated in an attached storage shed and extended into the residence. Thanks to the swift actions of our firefighters, the blaze was contained before it could reach the main living areas.
👏🏼 All occupants were safely evacuated, and no injuries have been reported. Fire investigators are currently on scene working to determine the cause.

Grants Pass Police Continue Shooting Investigation

Grants Pass, Ore. – On December 17, 2024, at approximately 9:30 PM, the Grants Pass Police Department received multiple calls reporting shots being fired in the 1400 block of Rogue River Highway.  Grants Pass Police officers immediately responded to the scene and located multiple bullet casings in the parking lot of an apartment complex.  The suspect(s) had fled before the officers’ arrival.

Due to the seriousness of the shooting, Grants Pass Police Detectives and the Chief Deputy Attorney for the Josephine County District Attorney’s Office conducted the investigation.  It was determined that multiple gunshots were fired at occupied apartments, and no persons were struck by gunfire.  The Oregon State Police Crime Lab collected numerous items of evidence from the scene.

The investigation continues with additional assistance from the Josephine County Sheriff’s Office, Oregon State Police, Rogue Area Drug Enforcement team, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms.
