Strengthen or Start Your Small Business with Free Workshops at the Library

Jackson County Library Services (JCLS) will present a series of free workshops geared to help the small business community with technical assistance and business development:

Small Business Workshop: Research to Strengthen or Start Your Small Business

Medford Library, 205 South Central Avenue

  • Monday, September 24 from 12:00–1:00 p.m.
  • Tuesday, October 29 from 12:00–1:00 p.m.
  • Tuesday, November 26 from 12:00–1:00 p.m.

JCLS Business Librarian Elanna Erhardt will provide information and access to products and services available with a JCLS library card. The workshops will focus on conducting digital research for business planning, customizing national data for future growth, accessing free online courses, and reserving free meeting space at the library.

“We are eager to provide entrepreneurs and small business owners with the training and tools they need to start, grow, and expand their businesses,” said Erhardt. “I can find the information needed to help small business succeed, such as contact info and demographic data for local and national businesses to create mailing lists or learn about niche market size. Need to know the legal process of starting a business? I can find that, too.”

The workshops are free to attend, and registration is required. To learn more about resources for small businesses, or to register for a workshop, contact Elanna Erhardt, MLIS at 541-734-3992 or EErhardt@jcls.org, or visit jcls.org.
