10th Annual FurnARTure Benefiting The Studio At Living Opportunities!

What do you get when you cross fun with art, adventure, and a Labradoodle puppy? ArtFunDoodle? Almost. You get FurnARTure or at least that is what The Studio at Living Opportunities calls their annual event. And yes there is a puppy involved. He is being auctioned off as part of this super FUNdraiser for a donation-worthy organization.

Purebred labradoodle from Rogue Valley Doodles will be 12 weeks old by September 22nd auction time!

Terra Firma Home has furniture (Furn) as part of the auction too, and this year marks the 10th anniversary of the event. The Living Opportunities organization was formed in 1974 with a vision to assist those with intellectual and developmental challenges to be able to work, live, and socialize in the Rogue Valley as inclusively as others do here. But it was not until 2004 when “The Studio” began. It is an art studio with skilled professionals teaching workshops in drama, painting, and music open to everyone in the Rogue Valley. Those with developmental abilities are strongly encouraged to participate and they do. The CEO, Emilie Wylde Turner says, “We believe that art speaks a universal language that becomes more meaningful the more it is shared.”

The upcoming FurnARTure event is held at the Inn at the Commons on September 22nd from 2-5 pm. Besides wine, classy snacks, art, and friends, you can meet the one and only puppy who is anxiously awaiting his new home. A chocolate Labradoodle about 12 weeks’ old. The highest bidder will get to snuggle with him on a regular basis. Or perhaps take home other amazing prizes.

There is plenty of time to get ready for this event which promises to be an eclectic afternoon unlike any other with lots of heart. If you are interested in purchasing a whole table for the event or tickets ($75 each), you can contact Rachel at 541-772-1503. More interested in donating, you can reach out to Dan Mish, Studio Director, at 541-261-5289.

Whether you attend the event or not, there are always chances to make a difference at The Studio. Call Dan to find out more about how to volunteer and help. Do not be afraid to embrace your own creative spirit and get involved!
