August 26-Sept. 2nd: The Southern Oregon Golf Championship

Get your golf in before the weather turns cooler and the days get shorter. The Rogue Valley Country Club (2660 Hillcrest Rd.) hosts this event in Medford, and it has been happening since 1929! This is an amateur event that attracts about 400 participants each year. When you enter, you also get cocktails, snacks and live entertainment included. August 26: Grants Pass Beer Week & Brewfest

GP Brewfest and Beerweek is happening for the first time for five whole days in Grants Pass! Expect double and triple tap takeovers at Oregon Pour Authority & Pizza Studio (OPPA). Beginning at 5:00 pm on the 26th, you can spend $20 and get a glass plus five drink tickets. Then, sample beer to your heart’s content. Be sure to find out about the first-ever Cornhole Tournament that happens on Sunday at 2:00 pm. You must pre-register for this tournament.

August 28th – Cork’n’Fork Dinner

Paschal Winery (1122 Suncrest Rd. Talent) and Creative Celebrations have paired up to host and provide a lovely evening of food, fun, wine and the outdoors. The dinner takes place at the winery from 6:00 – 8:00 pm and is $10 per plate. You must have reservations to participate. Call 541-535-7957 to reserve your place at the table. August 29th – Lost 80’s Live

Do you remember “I Ran (So Far Away)” by Flock of Seagulls or “Everybody Have Fun Tonight” by Wang Chung? If you do, then you must get to the Lost 80’s show at the Britt Festival in Jacksonville. It will be nostalgic for sure. Gates open at 5:15 pm and the show gets started at 6:30 pm. The total lineup includes: Flock of Seagulls, Wayne Chung, The Vapors, The Motels, Boys Don’t Cry, The Escape Club, Farrington & Mann and Real Life. There are still lawn and regular seats available. Listen to their songs before you go and turn this event into an all week 80s flashback opportunity!

August 30th – Comedy Night at Randall Theater

Want a break from the kids? Check out this evening of adult laughs at the Randall Theater. It is 21 and over and you must pay a cover charge ($5) and purchase a $10 ticket. Beer, wine, light snacks, and mixed drinks are available, and you get two specialty drinks with the ticket purchase. The hosts will be Freeway Farrell and Ms. Cummings. August 30th – Fiddler on the Roof

Rogue Music Theatre opens its production of Fiddler on the Roof which will run through September 8th at the Grants Pass Performing Arts Center. Purchase tickets online (https://www.roguemusictheatre.org/shows), call (541-956-8600), or visit Great Northwest Music located at 220 Southwest G street.

August 31st – Grizzly Peak Winery Fan Weekend Concert

Gypsy Soul is playing at Grizzly Peak Winery from 7:00 – 9:00 pm. This band will perform Blues, Jazz and Roots Rock for your listening pleasure. If you want to purchase VIP tickets ($42.50), you can get appetizers, wine, and a meet and greet with the band. If you just want to attend the show it is $27.50 per ticket. August 31 st – Taste of Harry & David

For $18 per ticket, you can sample all of Harry & David’s (Medford Country Village Store) amazing flavors. This event takes place all weekend and goes through September 1st.
