Rogue Winterfest, Dec. 5th-9th!

It seems impossible that it’s November already. And harder still to imagine that Christmas is right around the corner. But with all the holiday events in Southern Oregon, it’s time to break out the family’s calendar so you’re sure not to miss the best of the best. Rogue Winterfest in Grants Pass is one such not-to-be-missed event.

This year’s event, held December 5-9, will be held at the Evergreen Federal Bank Bear Hotel.

As always, proceeds from the event are split among three Josephine County charities serving children and families needing mental health services – Kairos, Family Solutions, and Options for Southern Oregon. Last year the event raised nearly $150,000.

Each year the event features fantastically decorated and themed trees and art sponsored by local businesses and individuals. It all starts with a Gala and Grand Auction on December 5th. The adults-only event, sponsored by Taprock Northwest Grill, allows guests to bid on the trees and art while enjoying dinner, wine, and entertainment.

The Golden Social will be held on December 6th. For only $5, seniors (55 and over only) can view the trees and enjoy light appetizers and desserts and view the holiday trees and displays. The Golden Social is sponsored by The Suites and Morrow Heights Assisted Living.

Note: These events are already sold out but visit the website for more information on joining the waiting list.

Tickets for the weekend events are still available and open to the public. From 10 to 4 guests can view the trees, art, and other displays in addition to visiting Santa.

Families will enjoy the activities at Santa’s Workshop as well as live entertainment, which changes every 45 minutes. Cost for adults is only $5, children and seniors are $3, children 4 and under are free. A family pass for up to 6 costs just $20.

Monday the 9th, rounds out the event with the Culinary Classic and Silent Auction. Entertainment, a silent auction, and food and wine from some of Southern Oregon’s best chefs, wineries, and breweries make for a great close to Rogue Winterfest. The tickets are $75.

Volunteers are needed for the event. You or your business can also donate art, auction items, or volunteer to decorate a tree. Event sponsors are also needed. Visit www.roguewinterfest.org for more information about the event itself, silent auction, culinary classic, entertainment, trees, and art, or volunteering.

See you at the Bear Hotel!
