If you missed it… watch our VIDEO!

Gingerbread houses, cookies, snaps and more! The James Collier Gingerbread Jubilee is an annual tradition here in the Rogue Valley.

It is not only made up of several events, but it is one of the largest fundraisers for the Craterian Theater in Medford. The proceeds from the Jubilee make the shows, concerts, and performances possible for the following year.

The multi-day fundraiser begins with the Gala Dinner & Benefit Auction on November 22nd at 5:30 pm. But the real work starts a lot earlier. By November 1st anyone wishing to enter the Gingerbread competition must have their entry paperwork complete. Then they have until November 20th to title, design, conceptualize and produce the most awesome and delicious Gingerbread creations that will be on display, entered into the competition and eventually eaten. It is during the Gala Dinner & Benefit Auction that the creations are bid upon and become the property of the highest bidder. There is also a fabulous meal, wine and desserts to go along with the excitement of trying to win your favorite Gingerbread masterpiece!

Starting on November 23rd at 10:00 am, the edible and artful designs are put on display for the general public for the Community Tour. For $3 you can bring the whole family to see these mouth-watering structures. The tours are all day from 10:00 to 6:00 pm on the 23rd and 24th and then on November 25th from 10:00 to 4:00 pm.

If you want to participate with your family and learn how to make a Gingerbread structure, click here to learn more: http://www.craterian.org/wp-content/uploads/GingerBread-Jubilee-Booklet-01172018.pdf.

You will want to get started now since it is recommended that you give yourself one month to build it. If you have any questions about the contest or how to make Gingerbread, contact: Lynae Williams at GingerBread@craterian.org. You can also reach out to Aspen Droesch at 541-779-8195 ext. 303.
