Festival of Lights Parade – Friday, November 29th

At 5:00 pm in downtown Ashland, the parade begins to kick off the annual festivities of the Holiday season! Get to Ashland early and the adults can celebrate at the Brickroom (http://www.brickroomashland.com/) starting at 4:00 pm. Every year, children and adults look forward to this illuminating experience sponsored by the Ashland Chamber of Commerce where the buildings and parade floats are covered in sparkly lights for all to see. Santa makes an appearance and there are plenty of carolers and celebrations to keep kids of all ages and adults who are young at heart having a good time.

Giving Tuesday Event at ScienceWorks – Tuesday, December 3

This event is sponsored by the Rogue Valley Messenger and will feature 20 non-profits who are worthy of your time and donations. On December 3rd from 5:00 – 8:00 pm, adults can partake in beer and wine while children can visit the exhibits and sample the snacks.

The Grinch/Snowmen Painting Event – Saturday, December 7

Adults and children both can try their hand at painting the Grinch or Frosty the Snowman at this event at the Tipsy Paintbrush in Grants Pass. The only thing that will be tipsy at this event will be the brushes. The cost is $25 per child or $45 for two kids. Victorian Christmas Parade – Saturday, December 7th

An old-fashioned, small-town Holiday celebration in Jacksonville from 10:00 to 5:00 pm. The parade will take place at 10:00 am. After the parade, there will be Carolers from 11:00 to 4:00 pm. You can also go to the Beekman House Holiday Tours. Visit the wonderful shops and restaurants in Jacksonville while you are there. There will be lots of local holiday cheer.

Kid’s Day at Festival of Trees – Sunday, December 8th

The Providence Festival of Trees has a special day for children (sponsored by Lithia4kids) to enjoy the spectacularly-decorated trees. On December 8th from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm at the Medford Armory, bring the kiddos to see Santa and be entertained all day long. Adults will pay $5 to enter. Children are free.

The Polar Express Event at Kid Time – Monday-Tuesday, December 16th and 17th

Kids get to dress in their pajamas and come sip hot chocolate while listening to the story of the Polar Express read by the conductor. There will be crafts, cookie decorating, games, prizes and lots of coffee for the adults! It is sure to be a heart-warming good time frozen in their memories all season long!
