Eligible uses include advertising and distributing information to attract and welcome tourists, tourism-related strategic planning and research, operating tourism-promotion agencies, and marketing special events and festivals. Funding may also support conference centers, convention centers, visitor information centers and other improved real property with a useful life of at least 10 years that substantially supports tourism or accommodates tourist activities.
Applications will be evaluated based on factors including whether a proposal:

  • Encourages overnight stays or generates local business revenue;
  • Provides broad community benefits and supports regional tourism;
  • Demonstrates innovation, partnerships or a proven positive tourism impact; and
  • Supports lasting assets or advances the City’s equity and inclusion goals.
